The Oak Grove pair flank a residential entry. Leaves are etched onto both sides of the panels, overlapping as their images are superimposed. The grain in the hand-blown glass is carefully cut to indicate the direction of the grain on the tree trurnks and the wetness of the water lapping on the river rocks. The stream flows from one side of the entry to the other. The dark entry walls and Spanish tile floors are awash with the ambient light of the ancient oak grove in which the residence resides.
Two Panels, 4’ x 10’ Each of the panels consists of German Fischer hand-blown art glass. Copper foil technique was used to join the hundreds of cut glass pieces, all of the metal work is copper plated.
